4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Had this at a tasting with a few friends. Poured into a brandy snifter at room temperature
A - Two finger head, light to gold color with a very light haze going on. Looks like a standard farmhouse saison beer which is expected and still very nice to look at.
S - Sour scents erupt in the nose. You notice this a lot. Then, mango, berries, bread and a minor sweetness.
T - Very sour taste of rasberries and blueberries. There’s an oaky / wood taste as well and lots of bitter from the fruits. There’s a minor spiciness like Christmas as well.
M - Light, lots of bubbles and a great lingering of the sour tastes
O - This was such a great beer! Lots of fun to drink and an excellent beer for warm weather. I’d love to find this one again.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy gold pour with a 3 finger, fluffy beige head. Aroma has lots of fruity funky brett, but in a pretty mild way, hay, lots of floral and citrus hops, hints of untoasted oak. Flavor is pretty amazing, nice funk, lots of berry, vinous and citrus notes, sweet cereal, lemon grass, sweet floral notes and just a hint of oak to the finish. Light to medium body with a slightly creamy entry turning juicy from there out to a slightly more dry finish, with some light, but sharp and blanketing carbonation. Really amazing stuff, right up there with my favorite Saisons, possibly the best I have had. Easily the best at hiding a high ABV%.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Pours a hazy amber gold with a thin cap of white.
Aroma: Big wine barrel. Fruity spicy yeast. Pineapple perfumy brett.
Taste: Tangy grape, spicy brett, peppercorn. Finishes jammy/ fruity.
Mouthfeel: Juicy. Full bodied. Rough carbonation.
Overall: A very tasty beer, but was expecting it to be a little drier, the way I like my Saisons. I’ve been told that the first batch was much drier, and have hopes of trying this beer again.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Nice finger and a half of a creamy foamy white head that provides good lasting power and spotty lacing; very hazy murky brown-tinged orange. Citrus and barnyard funk in the aroma with a slight doughy sourness. Lots of nice fruitiness, earth, touch of herbs, funk, and vinous notes in the flavor. Medium to lighter body with vibrant, sparkling carbonation. Lovely.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
RBAG, with massive thanks to tytoanderso. I recently discovered that my U.S. pickup point tried to give the box containing this beer away to some dude who merely shared the same last name as I. Can you believe that? The guy was honest and returned it shortly after driving away with it, though. This rating is for you, Mike Baines of Lethbridge. Wherever you are... Pours murky orange, thin white head, ropey lacing. Nose is funky tart cheesy berries, some oak, some real floral and vinous notes here too. Flavours of tart cream, cassis, cranberry, oak, tannin. God what a brew! Perhaps the very best high-alcohol Saison I’ve ever had. One of the few beers that really lives up to the hype! ISO: 10 dozen more of these!!!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle picked up on whim at DeCicios in Ardsley. Pours cloudy dirty orange with small head. Great nose of grapefruits, spice and sour patch kids. Tastesnof tart cherries, Pinot noir aging comes thriught, pepper, grass, and floral notes. Lively carbonation and quick drying on palate although flavor lingers. Reall really good.
