Pint our at Humpys Anchorage. Hazy orange body with a nice, big, foamy white head. Aroma gives a true farmhouse association, light malty, yeast, spicy, fruit and funky. Flavor is farmhouse and fruity, soft malt, pleasant bitterness, spices and hint of Brett. Just ok. Needed balance.

Golden Straw in color, hazy with a thin white head. Big yeast and malt aroma. Light barrel aroma and flavors. Big fruit yeast and light pepper flavors. One big serious beer.

750 ml. brew from one of the smaller Brown Jug stores. Batch #1 January, 2012. In fact, I was surprised that this Brown Jug store was this small. This has a hazy, light orange, yellowish body, with a rather thin and wispy head. Bits of banana poke through, and a soft brett aroma melds somewhat decently well with the banana. There’s a sublte, crisp hop aroma that is decent. This is probably the mildest beer they have, in terms of brett. The aroma doesn’t have the greatest depth to it, in my opinion. The brett is definintely shows up more in the flavor. This has a very crisp brett and hop flavor to it. The banana flavor is hitting my taste buds intermittently. The brett seems to be getting more and more mild as I drink this, but it does sit well on the taste buds, and continues to leave a sharp after taste. Quite honestly, it’s a bit bland, now, but I think there’s more to come with this one, as it ages. It has a nice, crisp texture.

750ml bottle. Cloudy straw yellow with a rocky, pure white head. Aroma of oranges and lemons, bread dough, musty hay and light spice. Flavor is light and fruity up front with some malt and light spice, there is also a mellow hop bitterness that balances everything out. Medium to light body with active carbonation and crisp, fresh finish. This is an excellent beer right out of the gate, it’s tastes really fresh and the EKG’s are a nice addition. This will probably get really nice with age too if the brett comes in and funks it up and dries it out.
