Bottle at the ’Schwarzes Cafe’ in Berlin. Clear, copper body with a 1", off-white, frothy head. Toast and bread crust in the nose with light raisin. Flavors of brown sugar with more light raisin. Low level toffee. Medium bodied with fairly high carbonation. Malt forward with low bitterness. Crisp finish with light malt notes hanging around. Overall very tasty and repeatable, but could use a little more depth.

Ambe/brown color small beige head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and ripe fruit notes. Roasted,, sweet malt taste with lots of caramel, A great dunkel.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2011 Bottle from Kris Wines. Quite a light reddish dunkel, sweetish malt, bread, not too much bitterness. Good dunkel, nothing extraordinary.

Bottle.Dark amber colour with medium white head.Aroma of malt and caramel,hoppy with slight tosted taste of bread and dark berrys,smooth mouthfeels and medium body.

Thanks to Todd for sharing. Brown pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is quite complex showIng hints of toffee, nuts, dark fruit and sweet malts. Flavor follows suite. Very nice dunkle

brown and clear with a medium head which is very stable. when you finish the beer, there’s still a little frothy head left. very nice appearance. very roasty/malty aroma. hints of chocolate and very few hops. pleasing carbonization. light body. could need some more "depth"

Draft @ Berlin beer festival 2011.
note de levure de cave, herbacé avec qcq épices, malt fin caramel.
En bouche une bière grillée touche de levure, impression de toffee-cara avec note liquoreuse, la fin est bien maltée, note de café.
Bonne bière, surtout sur le profile du malt qui lui donne une belle dimension grillé et de caramel.

On tap at Kloster Andechs - Das Wirtshaus in Nurnberg. Dark brown with reddish undertones and a decent, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and berry fruit aroma with some grassy hops. Flavour of toffee and roasted malts, with some more fruit and dryish finish. Good.
