Oooh, this is nice. Bread dough, with some caramel and some nuttyness in the nose. Really soft and full mouthfeel. The balance is amazing. Nicely nutty and bready, some drying hops towards the finish isa touch grassy/herbal, medium bitterness, beautiful.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ernest (5182) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 6, 2003
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2007 Bottle (BB Jun 08). Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is clear medium to dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, toasted bread, nuts), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), with notes of orange peel and toffee. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Light and watery in the mouth, and not all that flavorful, but the aroma is quite nice for the style. Not the 5.0 I thought it was many years ago, but that’s how it goes.
