4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is best dunkel beer I have ever tasted. Great flavor that can not be forgetten. It is not overpowering on the alcohol content. The palate can not be satisfied with just one mug.

Bottle, at home.
Dark red with off-white head, mostly lasting, fair lacings. Aroma moderate/heavy malty (roasted, bread), light hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet, light bitter, average duration. Light body, watery, lively carbonated.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
#1500, bottled. One of the better dunkels around according to rating. However, i was not impressed by this one. Sharp aroma of roasted malt, german hops, quite one-dimensional. Taste is better, roasted malty, some wheat, bit dry. Sticky palate.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very roasted malts in the nose. Clear, brown-red coloured with a brown, thin head. Taste is sweet, very roasted malty. Bit dry, bit sharp. Not really impressive.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle 50 cl) Dark brown but far from black, with a lovely big and brownish head. Very malty and roasted, but not ashy dry - more caramelish and sweet. Extremely high gravity - you would expect this to be stronger than it actually is. 081000

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Malt aroma in the pour. Raisin brown color with a tan head. Carbonation is light, small bubbles. Bready malt sweetness up front and through most of the finish. A very good dunkel.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Low carbonation, almost too malty, sweet, caramel, raisins, finish achieves some measure of balance but im still only having one at a time...

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reddish brown with big firm white foam. Deep amlty aroma of toffee, almond, toasted bread, burnt sugar and grass. Wonderfull and deep malty flavour of light chocolate, fresh baked ryebread, raisinbread and toffee. Extremely well-balanced aftertaste of roasted malt, toffee and nuts. This is an awesome dunkel!
