A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate. Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness. Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note. Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier (11.5% original extract and 4.8% alcohol by volume).

Poured from bottle into a tulip: Pours clear golden straw with a decent white head. Aroma of lightly sweet malt, flowers, and bread. Taste is lightly floral, grainy, bready, and slightly sweet. Light body, medium carbonation. This is a tasty helles.

Good clean helles with grainy malts and a light touch of spicy noble hops. Crushable Lagah with a cracker and biscuit malt presence.

Had this from the bottle. Aroma has mostly pilsner malt and cereals, some faint hops. Refreshing taste with light pilsner malt, noble hop bitterness, slightly herbal. Thin bodied, medium carbonation, crisp and dry. Short dry after taste.

On tap at Andechser am Dom. Clear pale gold pour with white head. Aroma is fruity, grainy, pretty tame, nice crisp biscuity graininess but that’s about it. Taste is light, grainy, almost bland, very light spicy hop on the finish, but very subtle. Palate is light. Easy drinking, but severly lacks character.

Poured at tasting a light yellow with white head. Aroma is a light malt and lemon. Body is very light. Taste is a lemony malt. Some hays. Not bad for a style that is not my cup of tea.

Tall europint bottle, OK label. Clear, very light straw color, fluffy white head. Grainy, slightly powdery, slightly skunked eurolager aroma. Sweetish, a bit tinny, slightly astringent. Medium body, grainy bittering. OK. ABC, Betton.

Bottle, courtesy of Frank... in my dining room... just now.
Poours a perfectly pale yellow with a nice fluffy white head and decent lacing on gut glass.

The aroma is very quintessentially helles. The aroma is lightly sweet pale malt& very subdued herbal hops. Despite it all it’s a perfectly balanced bouquet.

The flavor is beautiful, subtle, but not without nuance and balance. First of all it greets you with a light doughy sweetness that is very quickly replaced by herbal hoppiness & very light fruity flavors. The beer possesses a particular minerallity that just seems to drive everything towards the greater good in this beer. It’s lightly lemony, with doe mgrassiness, some hay, and an enjoyable bitterness. All together a beer I could drink with great frequency.

Particularly balanced, yet rustic... clean when it need to be but tastes like a patch of beautiful weeds. I could just drink it forever, it is a thing of beauty,,, subtle, traditional, and beautiful.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 22 oz bomber. Pours a sparkling medium golden, thin white bubbly head. Aroma has some fresh lake water accents, a touch of wort and spent grain. Flavor is true to the style with lots of grain, some grassy notes, a touch of nuttiness and just a hint of yeast. Mouthfeel has a pleasant thickness to it, Good sturdy very drinkable lager, true to the style. .

A clear yellow body with a thin white head that had good retention. A nice effervescence to it. Aroma had a nice biscuit like malt presence to it. Some nice grainy notes and mild corn. bread and mild pepper in the flavor and perhaps a yeast presence in the finish. Carbonation was adequate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle@home. Poured clear, light yellow, white foam. Aroma of mostly malts, hops, caramel. Simple, but pretty good. Easy drinking beer.
