A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate. Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness. Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note. Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier (11.5% original extract and 4.8% alcohol by volume).

Bottle. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet with some floral notes. Taste follows and adds some light fruity notes. Smooth palate. Maybe needs some more carb.

This beer is easy to drink its hard to comment as it disappears so fast the carbonation is a little low so if it sits it gets flat quick

Bottle; Pour is clear gold, spritzy carbed, a medium white head into this glass - retention is average, with some sticky lacing presence here. The nose is soft florals, light lemon grass, modest breaded malts with a hint of sweetness here. It’s what you expect from the a straw colored german beer. There’s a hint of soap, but the noble hops dominate the experience. The flavor profile has a thin body, slightly muted feeling - mineral water presence, spent grain and lemon zest, grassy hops reveal that mild tang - but it’s just... not quite enough for me. It’s boring. It’s clean, its slightly sweet as well - but it is boring.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Allendörfer. Aroma: moderate hop. Appearance: small, frothy, white initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-yellow body. Taste: lightly sweet initial flavor and lightly sour lemon finish with short duration. Palate: light body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: okay.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw yellow body under a nice frothy white head that had decent retention. The nose is clean bready and crackery maltiness with a light floral hoppiness. A nice delicate doughy maltiness. The flavor is clean and crisp but still quite soft and delicate. Surprised that this is completely filtered, it’s so so soft and well rounded even in this state of filtration. The hops could maybe be a bit brighter, but they’re still pretty nice. There’s a code on the bottle that must indicate it’s age, but ’L1693’ doesn’t mean anything to me. Very soft and well rounded on the palate with gentle soft carbonation. Really nice beer.

Clear pale with white head. Corn in the noise. Crisp light, a bit cloying on corn flavor. Malt profile a bit lighter than I hoped.
