Hay-like nose - like being on a farm. Clear, pale yellow color and a decent head. Weak, quick and thin malt taste with a dainty hop end that is kinda grassy. Thinish, but a very good balance. Refreshing and for a light has some character.

Brown 0.5 litre bottle obtained in Berlin (Ambrosetti beer store) and flown home with another 9 different beers. Six months life left according to the label. Poured into a 0.5 litre ’Schultheiss’ glass, my third German beer during a German tasting evening on 20th Feb 2009. Bright and light (a typical Helles attribute), a pale golden, straw yellow colour. The white head soon fell away to leave a thin collar and scummy wisp. Aromaless, couldn’t even find a hop or hint of yeast, no floral wiff, no wheaty undertones or overtones, not even some malt esters, just ’nowt’. My normal lager/pilsner score of 3 then! Fresh and crisp, but no body or depth of flavours, easy to drink but nothing to grasp and say ’Wow’ about. There is a little feel of yeast, hops and malts within the taste, sadly not enough to make this beer stand out from the crowd. A bog standard Helles, I was expecting more from such a well thought of brewery.

Wow this is a delicious beer. Smells like a heffe but tastes like a pills. Pours with a beautiful 4 finger head. Cloudy gold. Banana and cloves on the nose with hints of bread. Very refreshing flavor - crisp, not too sweet, just the right amount of hop bitterness. Tastes nothing like it smells. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

nic hoppy aroma and taste. the beer is very well balanced, great for summertime, the hop accent is great, fresh

Clear golden yellow with white foam head. Not lasting head. Somewhat high carbonated. Good bitter taste with some earthy tones - grass ? For the rest a typical pilsener.

Soft eggy and fluffy with low carbonation. Nice but a bit watery. Not sure what Vollbier means though.

Presumably draught at Andecher am Dom. Golden body with a white head. Sweet soft eggy nose, light honey. Nice hoppy, slightly piney taste, ending in light sweat, light maltiness. I actually liked it more than I thought I would.

Bottle. Clear golden with tiny off-white head. Aroma is malt, grainy, hops and grass. Flavour is malt, grainy, medium sweet, hops, grass and a little bitter.
