Pours golden color, clear, with foamy white head. Visually medium carbonation. Aroma: prevails malt aroma, which takes on biscuit, with hint of caramel. The same are flavors, with gentle note of hops in the background, which takes on spicy, with floral notes. Body is moderate medium, carbonation is medium, texture is soft.

Liter at Deep Ellum, 10/23/15.
Good clarity in this soft, blonde colored beer with some deeper golden hues and a large white head that shows strong retention.
Baked bread, baguette and very light sourdough-like grains in the nose are fresh and complex. Light herbs bring up the rear and don’t really come out too prominently, but as the beer is well-attenuated and nicely balanced, it dosent need a ton of hop bitterness to balance. A bit of plaster, dough, fresh vanilla and such can be gleaned from the yeast/water, as with their other beers and is no less charming here. More fruitiness from the hops with warming, but even at the bottom of the glass, the beer never gets too sweet in aroma or flavor.
The sweetness is certainly tempered but throughout the beer maintains a malty edge. Fresh dough, nectarines and yellow cherries sit in the background to honey, baguette and fresh, spicy herbs. Good carbonation level and a richly malted texture that still allows for great drinkability. An all-around amazing beer and if they weren’t charging so god damned much for it ($18 for a liter), I’d drink it much more often.
