A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate. Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness. Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note. Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier (11.5% original extract and 4.8% alcohol by volume).

500ml Bottle - Lemon, lime and straw in the aroma, slightly earthy. Crisp and refreshing taste with lemon, biscuity malt, grass and a twist of lime in the finish.

500 ml bottle. Pours a yellow gold color with a large pillowy white head. Nice sweet malty nose has notes of lemon and and floral hops. Firm sweet malt flavor has some citrus and a silky mouthfeel. Crisp and refreshing with a touch of bitter hops in the finish. A very nice Helles from the Brewers at Andechs Klosterbrauerei.

bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Cincinnati OH --- Clear straw amber color, fluffy white two-finger head, thick splashes of lace. Aroma of malt and grassy hops. Taste is malt that is pushed aside on the swallow by floral hops and a bit of clay. A solid example of a Helles, but could just as easily be a Kolsch. Either way, a solid light brew.

Aroma: nice, classic herbal grainy nose, neat fresh golden malt with meadowy grassy feel. Old school. 8-
Look: poured clear , deep golden with lasting medium lighter cap. 3+
Palate/Flavour: medium lighter bodied. Frisky carbonation. Worty with pale golden malts and grassy hops. Soft but carbonation tad too prickly for my liking in Helles beers. Still brings me back to Bavarian Dorfs.

From tap in Munich-Germany. Pours a filtered yellow color, gassy white head lowering relatively quick. Nose: some metallic notes, malts, honey. A very easy to spot herbal note as well. Mouth: medium soft carbonation, lager all the way, quite bitter in the end but far too watery and impersonal. Not good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Bittercreek... Surprised to see this one... Very clear light golden with a short lived white head... Grainy pils malt and light spicy hoppiness are the key descriptors here... A little sweetness to take this out of the German Pils area and not nearly as hoppy or bitter... Nearly perfect for the style... Very happy I stopped in at BC tonight.
