Bottle from Beers of Europe. Cloudy sparkling golden yellow with massive head. Orange, yeast and vanilla dominate the aroma with the banana and clove more in the background. Good spritzy mouthfeel with some actual hop evident in the finish. Excellent hefeweizen.

(6/19/08) Bottle at Aufsturz in Berlin. Cloudy yellow-orange color with a slowly-diminishing big white head. Aroma of wheat, some banana and some spiciness. Sweet fruity flavor with banana notes. Medium-bodied. A very nice Weizen on the sweeter side.

Draft at Andechser am Dom. Murky gold with a big white head. Big banana and bubblegummy nose, yeasty and citrusy. Orange flavors really come to the fore in the flavor, balancing perfectly with the other components. Excellent!

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours orangy - yellow, a bit metalic shiny - hazy body colour with quite intensive carbonation, there are some cloudy strings of yeasts floating in the body texture. head is huge frothy to creamy with very deep structure of small creamy white grains. Head slowly decreases to medium and lasts than for a long time. Classic appearence of German Hefeweizen. There is also nice lacing.
Aroma: Wheat, yeasts, banana, clove, slightly mineral - salty due to mild carbonation, generally aroma is weak due to a thic head, a bit orangy, lemon peal, some build in barley malt at the background. No alcoholic nose. Well balanced and compound.
Flavour: Front is mild and chewy, medium bodied. There are some good retronasal aromas of wheat, yeast strains, very gentle saltyness on palate with lively carbonation beingsimultaneously gentle on the other hand. There is exeptional slight hoppy bitterness on palate and clove - flowery nose. Very well balanced with slightly salty average to long finish, slightly alcoholic touch but in a positive way.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is creamy and mild, carbonation is soft to medium on palate, finish feel is light alcoholic and slightly metalic.

Very pale and cloudy yellow with a soft white head that retained pretty well. I get some light bubble gum and banana in the nose, as well as bread and some light lemon. Just a touch of tartness and clove in the beginning of the taste. Bready tastes throughout with some lemon, not very much banana, except there is some in the finish. Lower in carbonation than most, very light body. Makes for a light, refreshing beer that I’d enjoy in the summer, but considering it’s rarity and there being plenty of superior replacements, I’ll drink those instead.

Bottle. High and lasting white creamy head. Hazy light yellow bottle. Good and powerfull fruity aroma of mainly bananas. Flavor as indicated by the aroma: banana with just a wee bit of lemon. Feels a bit thin. Suitable amount of carbonation and a long slightly bitter aftertaste.
