Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

A decent weissbier. Has all the ingredients it should have. Vanila, banana and fruits and a smooth palate. Refreshing. Good, but I have had better ones with more complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Espuma abundante (3-4 dedos) muy blanca y esponjosa. Aroma banana y cítricos. Muy compleja en boca. Carbonatada, cítricos banana, clavo, canela, y un picante final en la garganta. Una hefeweizen muy notable.

A good beer to remove the thirst for summer or after return of a workout. Not my style beers, I find weak and with little progress

Bottle@ trailer. Clear light amber color with white head. Bready pale wheat, banana, peppery clove aromas. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pale dry wheat bread, fruity, citrusy, banana flavors with a crisp, tangy fruitage to finish----tasty.

Presumably on tap at the Andechs pub in Munich-Germany. Pours a very pale and cloudy golden color close to a bottom-yeast, medium white cap with some retention. Nose: banana/clove relevantly there, bread/yeast as well. Mouth: medium carbonation, soft and smooth feel of bread crust, esters some hidden citric too. Body is soft as the regular Vollerbier, but far better that that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Couleur jaune trouble, petite mousse blanche. Bon nez fruité banane et malt. Gout malté, levures et fruité bien cremeux en bouche. Fin légèrement fruitée et épicée. Pas mal pour le style.

Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma of banana, some other fruits, some spices. Banana, fruit, honey, bubblegum, very nice and smooth. A soft and easy Weizen experience!

Pours hazy yellow with medium, dense white head that persists well. Nose is bananarama with a bit of melon and a whiff of clove. All three are there on the palate as well with pronounced clove joined by white pepper and a touch of coriander. Bread and honey notes offset a bit of bitterness on the finish. Very creamy mouthfeel, but a bit thinner than expected. Still, a very good weissbier.

.5L from tap at Lord Hobo. Pour is hazy golden with a big white head and good lacing. Big banana, bubblegum, doughy, slightly citrusy, some clove, and herbs in the aroma. Taste is banana, bready malty, grassy, white pepper, bubblegum, and yeast with a spicy finish. Full mouthfeel with high carbonation. Good Hefe.
