Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

Pours hazy golden color with nice and creamy white head. Smell of banana, yeast and wheat. Full body with medium carbonation. Very thick and creamy texture. Taste is sweet and fruity. Banana, wheat, yeast, spices, a bit grassy. Very rich and very complex. Overall, beautiful beer. A poetry in a bottle. Loved it!

The beer pours very hazy golden orange with a good sized white head. The aroma has rich wheat, candied banana, cloves and cream. It has a pretty full body with very underscored carbonation. The flavor has much of what’s on the aroma with some spicy hops and a hint of lemons. The finish gets a bit crisp. Really nice hefe.

Typical German bright "Weißbier". However, quite fruity and zingy. Very pale and smooth. If you like yeast, this is it!

Perfect hefeweizen - does everything that it’s meant to. Cloudy straw colour with sticky white head. Nose is stuffed full of banana and clove, in the mouth you also get bread and honey, palate is smooth. Some of these beers fade and get watery at the end, but not this one. Great.

Fad i klosteret Andechs. Sådan skal en hvedeøl dufte smage og se ud. Dejlig øl i skønne omgivelser.
