COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

Wysycenie w stronę wysokiego, super rześkie i pijalne, goryczka minimalna z owocowym finiszem.

0,5 l bottle. Unclear pale orange in the glass, big white foamy head. Banana, wheat and yeast on the nose. Taste is dry fruity, banana, wheat, some sweeteness, hints of clove. Little bit bitterness in the aftertaste. State of the art for this kind of beer.

Golden and lightly cloudy with a pure white one finger head. Dough, barnyard aroma and orange zest. Taste is more of grass and berries. Moderately sweet and no bitterness. I can see this being a very refreshing summer beer.

500ml bottle - $3.48 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours out a lightly hazed, straw-hued body with a small-sized, brief, white head. Smell: Wheat with a thin veneer of sweet-scented honey, citrus and light banana, phenolic spicy elements. Taste: Crisped wheat, moderately sweet cereal quality chased with a spritz of clean, clear lemon juice. Gentle banana accent, a little bubblegum, one scant drop of vanilla. The hops remain rather subtle, imparting only a light bitterness. All flavors converge on the lightly sweetish, rather crisp finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation. Overall: Lively and refreshing on this Easter Sunday.

Bottle received in Euroswap 1, 2015. Pours very hazy pale golden with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Taste is slightly sweet, tiny bitter, slightly estery and spicy phenolic with freshly baked bread, banana bread, hay, minerals, cloves, cilantro and lemon peal. Mouthfeel is soft, round, very tiny tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and slightly bitter with banana bread, hay, cloves, minerals and lemon peal. Solid hefe, quite enjoyable...

500ml bottle from The Beerhive. Pours hazy pale gold, thick white head, high carbonation keeps it there. Big banana aromas, light clove, lebkuchen. Taste has quite a bitter clove tang, creamy bread-pudding sweetness. Yeast character comes through as it goes down. Lovely.
