(Bottle) - Very hazy orange-gold. Pours a thick white head that quickly diminishes to a thin, but persisting head. Med carb. A light wheat beer aroma; light yeasty fruit aroma - bit of banana, slight spice, not too impressive. Typical wheat beer flavours, bit fruity, bit spicy, though lacking on bitterness - the yeasty, aromatic fruit flavours dominate, with little hop flavour coming through. Initially it is slightly acidic, but then quickly turns softer, with a slightly buttery body. Bit of a watery palate and the flavours taste similarly diluted. Some spicy fruity flavours are left afterwards. Overall, a decent, but not outstanding wheat beer.

Colour of yolk with white head. Citrus and wheat in the aroma, a bit of tropical fruits, some bread and cookies. The taste is a bit watery, flour, wheat, nothing special.

50cl bottle, served in Weizen. Pours foggy orange-yellow with medium white frothy head. Wheat , bubblegum, hints of banana and spice on the nose. Predominantly banana-like concerning taste, some cereals, and a slight touch of hops in the back (subtle). Not too dry or sweet, very well balanced. Medium body, perfect carbonation. A really pleasant Hefeweizen.

Clear yellow with lasting big snow white foam head, lacing. Aroma is citrus, with some floral. Bjit weak taste, a Weissen. Short aftertaste, not a bad beer on a warmer spring day. (Velp 201304)

50cl bottle pours with an opaque pale gold body that exhibits copper hues and supports a nearly bright white head of foam. The aroma is fully banana and clove and yeasty and a touch of pepper. The taste is both smooth and prickly with splashes of refreshment. I get a rush of carbonation that pushes banana notes right up and then over the water fall of flavor. Around the edge eddies are notes of spicy cloves and a faint yeastiness. From time to time I also get micro second flashes of lemon as well. Cool stuff.

I really liked this one. Has a very grassy barnyard smell. Taste follows the smell with notes of yeast vanilla something like star anis. Body is not so typical for a hefe it was quite full. Anyhow i found the Andechs hefeweizen interesting and refreshing.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy, orange-gold colored body with a two inch thick, dense, creamy and foamy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is big banana with a nice malt sweetness. Some wheats, a light clove, a soft yeast note, and a few citrus hints. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened malts with a nice wheat note, smooth banana, a light clove spice with some phenols, soft yeast notes, and a light orange peel citrus towards the end. Finishes clean, lightly sweetened, fruity, and lightly spiced before leaving a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Medium, smooth body and a soft, somewhat lively, medium-high carbonation. Overall, a really nice German Hefe. Lightly sweetened and more towards the banana esters, but still some phenols and a light yeasty spice to provide a solid balance. Good one.
