Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

UPDATED: APR 23, 2013 Nice white head and hazy orange/yellow colour. Smells little spicey and maybe orange. Taste is sweet/sout, well balanced, with evident wheat taste. Very dry finish. It’s different than most of weizen, because I did’t taste the banana note, not really, but maybe also for this is a very interesting and particular weizen. The finish is very dry. Carbonation is perfect. Very good beer.

500ml bottle. Freaking life changing appearance. Blindingly brilliant clear golden yellow, like the surface of the Sun. The head billows like a cumulus cloud on a bright summer day. The bubbles are active, like spritely young whippersnappers running after the ice cream truck. Let’s get to the one other transcendent element of this brewski: the mouthfeel. The MFing MF. The MF is so MFing MF (masterful) that I MF (might fap). Light and airy, yet lively. Now the aroma is good, banana and clove, typical but well done, and the flavor, after having this twice now, is good but unfortunately has some kind of plastic note I can’t shake. Maybe I’m having the beer past prime. Other than that it’s freaking amazing. And if you’re on of those "I don’t do hefes bro, I’m converting my whole cellar to Cantillon, sours 4 life amirite but maybe I’ll force down an Alpine if I have to psych not they sold to Green Flash now I hate those guise." neckbeards, GO TO HELL!!!!!! By that I mean drink this beer. It’ll be good for you. This beer has its slight flaws overall, but it’s as well crafted as "hell" (awwwwww snap see what I did there???).and I’d drink it again anytime, even though I’m a ticker.

A world class weisse. Golden and hazy with a perfect weisse aroma. Creamy body, banana, soft malts, not very acidic like some weisse biers. One of the best Ive ever had.

Tap @ BierHaus. Pour pretty gold orange, completely cloudy, large creamy white head, great lacing. Aroma is classic, banana, clove and bubblegum esters dominate. Flavor is light sweet, no real bitterness. Lots of banana and yeast, hints of cloves. Medium plus body, creamy rich mouthfeel. Excellent

50cl bottle. Normaly I’m a big fan of the Weihenstephan weissbeer, but this one was a very, very pleasant surpise! Great taste a bit more sour taste than the Weihenstephaner, but because of that a perfect diversity! Defenitly a keeper, all year round!
