Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

Draft at Andechs - The appearance of this Weissbier is amazing. More orange than yellow with very crisp flavors that are much more complex than many of the other Hefe's I've had.

Bottle. Pours a medium golden body with a white huge rocky head. Aromatically spicy, flowers, pepper tones, cobwebs, light banana light bubble gum but i would not call it fruity. Very dry body nice sharp spices, cloves, very yeasty a hint of birch light bubble gum. This beer is absolutely alive and has a little bit of funkiness to the yeast character. This is THE BEST hefeweizen i’ve had to date. Outfuckingstanding.

Postupně sem budu doplňopvat piva, co jsem vypil a zapsal si, chvilku to asi bude trvat a proto k těm dříve vypitým pivům nebudou žádně "dojmy" . ->Jedno z nejlepších piv , co jsem kdy pil<-

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! The appearance is typical of the style. Straw yellow in color with a dense, white head. Fantastic aroma with banana, clove, spices, wheat. Refreshing flavor. Light and soft on the palate. Poundable. Superb balance. I would love to try this side by side with Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, as these are without question the two best examples of a German hefeweizen I have ever had. Highly recommended. Originally had this on tap at the kloster, but I bought a bottle afterward to confirm my suspicions - this is the best Hefeweizen I’ve ever had. Pours bright, hazy gold with a pillowy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of lemon peel, yeast, fruity esters, slight banana, clove, and bubblegum. Taste is fairly dry, very crisp, and the wheat is distinct. Totally appropriate carbonation and body. Worth the hike.
