3/31/12. 12oz bottle. Clear light amber pour, plenty of orange, with a big, loose khaki head that cuts fast and laces in spotty sheets. Hoppy aroma, but generically bitter, with a big metallic tinge and touches of pine. Big bitter kick from the get go on the flavor, but not much complexity. Lingers bitter and dry with bits of candied grapefruit, pine, and caramel. Not bad.

Great aroma - hoppy enough to make your eyes water, sweet, aromatic. Clear orange beer, off-white head, standard US longneck, cluttered label. Crazy, fine-grained lacing that really clings to the sides of the glass. Woody, moderately astringent, bitter, a little briny. Grassiness in the long bitter finish. Warming, at the end. Medium-heavy mouthfeel. Market Square Liquors, Timberlane. I’m really getting tired of American IPA, 2xIPA and Black IPA.

Got two 12oz bottles from liquor loft and spilled the first... so I’m already mad at this beer. Gold pour with a medium off-white. Aroma is pine and honey. Tastes are caramel malt, grapefruit, bread, pine. Ok.

Average creamy tan lasting head, sparkling body with a ruby ambered color. Lighty malty, averaged hoppy, averaged yeasty with a touch of toffee aroma. Has a medium body, thin textured and lively carbonizated. Bitter taste on the end, going toghether with the good sweetness.

Bottled at Bishops Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Hazy pale amber, small head. Intense salty grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet, full bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Solid malt base, dried apricot with lots of heavily salted grapefruit. Long bitter finish with some salmiak. Very concentrated.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear deep amber, rich creamy head. Perfumy gooseberry aroma Sweet and full bodied with some caramel and syrup. Heavy swety orangey hops leads to a massive biterness. Warming alcohol is evident throughout.

Divina!

355 ml bottle. 8.7%. From bierzwerg.de.
Cloudy amber colour with tiny soapy off-white head. Strong maltiness, fruity and piney hops and sweet candies in aroma. Heavy maltiness and fruity bitter hops in flavour. Very malty. Not necessarily very complex but tasty IIPA.

from a bottle, gushes on pop. big permeating citrus aroma. foaming rocky head. cloyingly mouthcoating bitter soap. oily lacing. finish is difficult medicine. on nasty nellie style. if you like this triple imperial ipa style, this is on top.

Draught @ The Rover. Pours clear amber with a small white head that doesn’t leave much trace while dissipating. Smell is malty sweet with caramel, mandarin oranges, apricot, very ripe peaches and some earthy hops and grass. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty with wood, raisins, grape peal, mandarin oranges in sugar syrup, ripe peaches, cereal and hints of alcohol and bread. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and malty with caramel and tropical fruits.
