3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an opaque brownish black on tap with fluffy tan head that leaves great lace. Aroma is a nice balance of roast, chocolate, and piney hops. Taste follows, dry and bitter, but the roast opens up more as it warms up. Very nice balance, good carbonation, better than I was expecting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint on tap at Beer Revolution’s Edmonton location pours black in color with a small off-white head that leavers some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is light roasted grains with some pine and grapefruit and a hint of chocolate. Taste is a roasted grain and pine, grapefruit hop bitterness balanced nicely with a light chocolate and malty sweetness. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A well done black IPA that I really enjoyed tasting.
