Deep and dark as a starless night, this beer is dominated by a pronounced hop aroma of pine and spruce, with subdued notes of fresh cut wood and special herbs. The flavor is characterized by a clean hop taste with a subtle dry roasted malt touch in the background. Draft only.

Rating #1044 - March 27, 2014 - @avbc tap takeover @revolutionYEG. Pours a sinful black, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is a violent clash between toasted malt, and floral/earthy hops. Taste is extremely hoppy, tempered with a pleasant coffee, chocolate, burnt sugar sweetness that disguises the higher abv quite well. Very tasty.

Had this draft beer during the 7/4 beer tour 2014 at Hollywood Gardens/Brixton. Nice looking dark beer. Smell is dull b/o of your favorite mate. Yes, dark attributes carry over to the flavors. Definitely has lots of IPA for a backbone. Yes, typical big dull medical black ipa finish. Lasts & lasts well after the session.

On tap at Busy Bee, Raleigh, NC. Dark brown, almost black, pour with a dense khaki head. Aroma of roses and wet grass. Taste is of light citrus peel, pine, and rich cocoa. Finish is clean with not too much hop bitterness or bitterness from the roasted malt. An above average black IPA.
