finol (475), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Feb 22, 2009 Bottle at Oliver Twist.
Roasted flavours, chocolate and a hop finish. As they state in the commercial description it is very smooth. Plamadude30k (122), Tucson, Arizona, USA Feb 22, 2009 The oatmeal is tangible in the nose, with chocolate malts, peat, coffee, and hops added in the taste. Jet black, even in small quantities held up to bright light. Excellently smooth. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2009 nice oatmeal stout. has a nice sweet subtle oatmeal aroma, taste is similiar with a little roast malt added in. not bad. Nebulor (109), , California, USA Feb 12, 2009 Chocolate, malt, coffee and some hop esters in the aroma.
I’m using a pilsner glass so I can vouge that this is jet black with no hue. Tan head that is minimal and hangs around to add lacing.
Good blend of hops and chocolate along with the almost burnt malt taste.
Smooth thoughout and sweet.
Full bodied and resiny.
Very drinkable Stout Miksu (2194), Jyväskylä, Finland Feb 1, 2009 0.65 l bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. Black color with creamy head. Coffeish, chocolatey and grassy aroma. Sweetish flavor with coffee, chocolate, low bitterness and bready graininess. Mouthfeel could be softer. alexsdad06 (1056), Ohio, USA Jan 29, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a shade below black with a medium sized tan head. The aroma has everything a good oatmeal stout needs: moderately sweet, roasted malt, light coffee, and chocolate. The flavor which is presented on a creamy smooth palate is more roasted malts, dark chocolate, light coffee, and a small amount of hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied and quite sessionable. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Jan 27, 2009 shared with stumac .. nice medium roast .. light in the mouth ... average sweetness for a sweet stout .. an easy drinking brew that maybe is abit to dumbed down .. if you like sweet stouts this could be a good session .. "isn’t there an ’o’ in country" ... daknole (2810), Plantation, Florida, USA Jan 27, 2009 Bottle. black pour with a nice tan head. Aroma hits with coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and a surprising smoky note. Flavor is very full and has some great roasted malt, light coffee, chocolate, some hop bitterness and a bit of the smoke that I detected on the nose makes its way to the tongue. Very interesting beer and very good.
