The aroma has everything a good oatmeal stout needs: moderately sweet, roasted malt, light coffee, and chocolate. The flavor which is presented on a creamy smooth palate is more roasted malts, dark chocolate, light coffee, and a small amount of hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied and quite sessionable. Aroma hits with coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and a surprising smoky note. Flavor is very full and has some great roasted malt, light coffee, chocolate, some hop bitterness and a bit of the smoke that I detected on the nose makes its way to the tongue.
