COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its deep, dark brown-black color, thick, full-bodied, velvety-smooth mouth feel, mocha character, and, strong yet subtle hop bite, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout is one of the thickest, richest, and most complex stouts on the market today.

A nice full flavored stout. A good beer to drink while discussing which waitresses are pregnant or which ones are just pigs.

Overall a quality stoudt. Great if you are stopping off at a bar from a Carolina Panther game and want a good dark beer at the Flying Saucer

Nice blast of PNW hops in the nose. Very creamy. Lots of dry roasted coffee flavors. The coffee flavors meld nicely with the pine/citrus flavors of the hops. Body is right on.

A decent stout, with a mild burnt taste and bitterness which is well balanced. Agreed it could have been a little thicker. Acceptable.

Dark black with large brown head that quickly disappears, nice bitter hop finish, roasted caramel flavor, not overly sweet, thinner than I would like a stout to be, but overall an enjoyable brew

Not too oaty or oaty/ creamy -- the feel is nothing like a nitro, substantial hops, hints of sawdust, deep dark roastiness, a bit of ash. Very drinkable.

This has a very starnge bitter finish, but otherwise is a very good stout. Nice texture and an excellent caramel flavor to it.

This beer rocks. Midnight black with a white head. The nose is of malt, espresso, cocoa and maple syrup. The flavor is of a mocha latte. Perfectly balanced. Not sweet. The finish is very crisp and dry for an oatmeal stout. Delicious. I think Wilford Brimley said it best when he said ’Quaker Oats, it’s the right thing to do.’

Beautiful beer, nice and black with a great brown head that was very frothy but short lived. The aroma was decent but weak and slightly vinegary. Good taste, nice smooth blend of chocolate and carmel. Only slight hints of coffee, didnt over do that aspect the way many stouts do. It was a little thin and a tad sour. A fairly decent stout, but nothing too special.

Like all good Head, it gets in, works its magic and gets out. Makes its point of being there but doesn’t stick around, until you want more… you figure it out? But in this case the head was way to short , because you can never have to much head? I’m a retard. Great tasting stout, for some reason I thought it would taste like oatmeal? But at this stage in my like I’m used to let downs. Still a very fine brew. Nicely crafted. This brew was as black as my heart. Cheers!
