Smells of a hint of coffee, chocolate, caramel, maybe roasted nuts. Taste is just as the smell suggests. Nice and full in the mouth with little carbonation. A delicious oatmeal stout indeed Collint (453), Sylva, North Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2007 Poured into an english pint glass with an oily black colour and large frothy tan rocky mountain head, easily aggrevated from a gentle pour. Nose of roasted malts, cocoa, and strong aluminum. Initial taste of cocoa and roasted malts. Finishing with coffee and bitter hops on the palate. Palate duration is average. Medium to full body. Good lacing of the glass and head retention. Ughsmash (3999), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2007 Bottled. Poured a healthy deep brown with a creamy cap of medium beige head. The aroma picked up nicely roasted semi-sweet chocolates, cocoa, and lactose sweetness.. overall, sweet, malty, and enticing. The flavor had sweeter chocolates and oats at the core, surrounded by moderate coffee and chocolate bitterness.. lenghty finish picked up some odd tarry notes along with some sweet chocolate and coffee bitterness. Medium-bodied with decent balance.. bit tacky at times. This was a good one. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 30, 2007 Bottled, consumed on 11/30/07. Pours a deep brown mocha color. Not very carbonated; only a thin head formed and was gone fast. Toasted malts in nose along with chocolate aroma. Tingly, intense sensation on tongue upon drinking. Mellow roasted flavors carry over into flavor as mild coffee, along with nearly-hidden traces of red grapes. Odd this is called a sweet stout, as it is not especially sweet. Lingering astringent finish has slight bitterness. If it weren’t for the serious parching, it would be pretty laid back. Not sure I like this one too much.
