12 oz. can poured to a Czech-pils glass displaying a black/brown hue with some ruby highlighting showing through at the base, brownish tan, creamy froth to the head, and clingy spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was light grain & creamy malt, light roast, chocolate, with just a touch of coffee. The taste was similar notes, plus a very creamy mouth feel, low, earthy hop bitterness that possessed some lingering qualities, suitable effervescence, medium body, low alcohol, and a finish that continued the low, roasted astringency, with hints of wood & char. Not overly bold, but exceptionally drinkable!

355 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Pleasant aroma of moderately roasted malts, caramel, oats, mild coffee and woodwork, hints of chocolate and liquorice. Nice flavour too, medium dry, with the same elements as the aroma. Very moderate hops. Smooth mouthfeel.

Pours a deep black color topped with a decent cream colored head. The aroma is slightly roasted with nice caramel touch following it. The taste is creamy, slightly sweetish at first, followed by some bitter feel in the bod. Finishes nicely with quite some coffee in the aftertaste. Nicely drinkable and enjoyable.

bottle. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolade, brown sugar. Taste roasted coffeebeans, malts, hops. Drinkable but a tad boring. Also a bit thin. There´s more stout in the sea.

Very smooth yet full bodied and very thick this one has maybe the best mouthfeel. Strong flavoured and just enjoyable.
