Black colour with a nice head. Aroma of wheat, oat and roastedness. Roasted flavour with notes of chocolate and some fruitness.

From the bottle... great frothy head with solid retention. Not very aromatic, but decent roasted malt flavor on the front end. Not a real malty sweet balance for an oatmeal, but a decent stout.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Near black with some ruby highlights at the bottom of the glass. chocolate and caramel inthe aroma. Taste is chocolate and caramel, smooth but somewhat thin body for the style, with a roasty lightly bitter and astrigent finish.

Poured a dark brown with minimal tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, with a hint of caramel and coffee. The taste was mostly the malt, with some bitter at the end. Too bad... the aroma had me convinced this was going to be fantastic. It was OK, but nothing special.

Blind tasting. Black w/ decent head. A little vanilla in the taste with some slight chocolate and coffee. Nothing overwhelming.

Thanks to shigadayo for the trade on this one. Acrid smell with metallic nose. Pours black with little tan head. I taste the malt with a middle of coffee and finishes with a sweet taste. Not a bad beer to have on a cold winter night.

Deep black/brown pour with a small tan head that fades quickly. very slight aroma, what is there is malt, but still slight. Nice roasted malt flavor, highlights of bitterness through out. quick clean finish for a stout. not too shabby.
