Bottled. Dark ruby red/black opaque colour with small brown head. Aroma of oatmeal, sweet malts and coffee. Some hops also. Flavour is sweet roasted malts, coffee and some harsh grassy hops in finish and aftertaste. A bit watery.

Botted. Opaque black, small tan head. Toasted coffee beans aroma. Medium to full bodied. Roasted, bitterish, quite typical lower ABV oatmeal stout. Mild toasted and hoppy aftertaste.

Definitely get the bittersweet finish. Slight cocoa tastes. Oatmeal comes a bit in the aroma but not so much in the taste. I’ve had more complex oatmeals before but this one is nice but not overly exciting.

Bottle. A solid oatmeal stout. I definately prefer this oatmeal to others that I have tried - much tastier and more pleasant. Very good all aorund and very balanced - no characteristics that jump out as outstanding though. I may purchase again if in a stout mood again.

Bottle. Dark, dark brown color, brown/beige head that dissipates pretty quickly. Some cocoa, coffee, nice spicy dry bite at the finish. Another great Anderson Valley beer!

Aroma of roast coffee, some oatmeal, some plum. Appears black as pitch, with as huge creamy brown head. Flavor is of roast chocolate. Palate is thick and creamy. Overall, an excellent stout.

Black colored, vanishing beige head. Strong chocolate with sweetness in aroma, roastiness, toffee and mild alcohol there too. Good aroma. Medium bodied. Also flavor is rich with plenty of chocolate, sweetness, roastiness and some licorice. Aftertaste has good balancing hops, which last with touch of chocolate.
