Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout

Bouteille-Arômes de malt brûlé et de céréales. Aqueuse. Peu de mousse. Goût de malte et de café.--Bottle-Roasted malt and cereal aromas. Watery. No head. Taste of malt and coffee.

Extremely plesant on the nose, a sweet brown sugar aroma. Pours "tar thick" with a minor foamy (medium bubble) head. Nice sweet taste of the malts, molasses, and oats (finally an oatmeal stout that smells of oatmeal). Fine lacing on the glass which cleans quickly off the sides. Smooth, almost buttery on the mouth, virutally no aftertaste. This is an extremely pleasant beer (now I want more) Black as night in the glass...

Loved it. Nice balance of heary body, beautiful pour. Excellent mouth feel and just enough sweetness to handle the finish.

Opaque ebony coloration with a large brown head that thickly laces the glass as it recedes. Roast coffee aroma and flavorwith a tiny bit of bitterness added.

Not an impressive oatmeal stout. It has good color but the sweet , slight coffee taste fails to bring the deep full bodied flavor that was hoped for.

Bottle. Cream, salt cracker, and roast coffee aroma. Looks good with a blackish brown body and small tan head. It’s tasty: salty, roast cofee, sourdough bread. Creamy body that could be a little fuller and creamier, but isn’t bad. Would make a decent sessie, not all that complicated, but could easily go through a few of these. Decent salty, slightly bitter roast finish.
