Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Dec 19, 2005 WOODYOBEER (1), SCHWENKSVILLE, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Dec 7, 2005 There is a definite chocolate- and milk- feel & taste about this beer. Small, light-brown frothy head with excellent lacing (although it was a short-lived head). The body has a brown, murky appearance to it. Starts & ends with a moderately sweet flavor. Has an oily texture on the tongue, which leads to a metallic finish. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Dec 1, 2005 Nice deep dark body with a tan head. Aromas of coffee/chocolate/cheerios. Light chocolate flavors with coffee and oats. Pinnhead (93), New Jersey, USA Nov 22, 2005 A truly spectacular Oatmeal Stout. Very mid-range in terms of not being overly dark. Would suggest it’s a good taster for someone new to the ’dark’ side of beers and the world of stouts. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Nov 20, 2005 The beer pours to a dark black body with a creamy khaki head. Spotty lacing. The aroma is a lightly tart oatmeal and molasses. Chocolate. The palate is lacking for an oatmeal. Medium bodied with a light tartness. Decent. MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Nov 20, 2005 black pour nice oatmeal looking tan head good lace. Light coffee & roasted malt aroma.. not much else there. ok palate decent coating. Dry light bitter hop some coccoa touch of coffee.. ok. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA Nov 18, 2005 Dark brown with a creamy tan head. Smell had roasted chocolate, courant, soy, espresso and oatmeal. Taste was smooth but a bit watery at times. Solid session beer. altkencru (143), USA Nov 14, 2005 Something of a disappointment for me, being a fan of AV. It tasted too much like their other beers instead of tasting like a stout.
