COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its deep, dark brown-black color, thick, full-bodied, velvety-smooth mouth feel, mocha character, and, strong yet subtle hop bite, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout is one of the thickest, richest, and most complex stouts on the market today.

Bottle. Pours a clean black body with a medium, brown head. Soft, but deep aroma of coffee and oats. Taste is full-bodied, very well drinkable, nice malty body, medium bitter, some sourness and sweetness in the aftertaste. Above average for a regular stout.

Bottle. Beautiful clear black, brown color, with a fast diminishing brown head. Bready, coco, phenolic smell, very promising. Dry taste, with well balanced sourness/bitterness. More thin texture with a flat carbonation, typical. Aftertaste has some toasty, malty, bready notes, but also something fresh and fruity. This is a great oatmeal stout, love it from the first sip!

Dark brown head with an almost zesty aroma at first then easing into a vanilla. Carmel/nutty feel at first taste after a couple tastes it gets more grassy barnyard feel. As most stouts the color throws you off. It’s like that nice gang-banger you know who looks heavy on the outside but is really sweet.

Rather thick, but pleasant. Oatmeal really came through after the coffee and mocha notes, which was nice as some oatmeal stouts dont contain enough oatmeal taste. I had never heard of the company,so this beer came with a totally unbiased opinion. It suprised me.... I found it to be incredibly enjoyable!

Bottle. A solid oatmeal stout. I definately prefer this oatmeal to others that I have tried - much tastier and more pleasant. Very good all aorund and very balanced - no characteristics that jump out as outstanding though. I may purchase again if in a stout mood again.

This was the first stout I ever really got into way back when. Pours dark with a small tan head. Aroma is roasty, flavors are definitely describable as bittersweet and roasty. Pretty good, not what it used to be for me, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Svart vätska med kraftfull brun krona som lämnar mycket rester. Doften är syrlig och frisk med lätta kaffeinslag. Smaken är ganska tunn och syrlig med lätta kaffeinslag. Ganska lätt och tråkig men inte dålig

Buona stout. Schiuma perfetta e persistente. Aromi puliti di cioccolato e caffè. Birra molto equilibrata e beverina. Luppolatura scarsa.

Bottle: Pours a nice dark (black) color with a medium tan head that diminshed rather quickly. Smell is a nice sweet and smooth smell. I note a bit of chocolate and a touch of coffee in here. It almost smells like there may be a tad bit of honey in there as well. Taste has a nice soft coffee feel to it, with a touch of chocolate. It has a very nice smooth texture to it. This is not overwhelming, but seems to be lacking just a bit in flavor, but very good none the less.
