Good oatmeal stout. A little thin to chew on, but pours nice and dark from the bottle with off orange copious head. Nose is rather benign, toasted malt, bread rolls, and light alcohol. Tastes like the nose with extra chocolate malt added in. Mouthfeel is thin enough for my toothless granny to chew. But nice hazelenut finish. It’s a good thing its only 5.8% (site says 5.7) as it would be easy to drink all night long. Makes for a better morning after......... Good autumn/fall beer.

A very mild stout with some coffee and roasted malt. Bit thin in the back but also really drinkable. Honestly said it was just boring as it was not really that full of aromas.

Beer pours out of the bottle in a deep black colour with beige creamy head and smooth to medium body. Wonderful aroma of roasted hops and torf. Taste of chocolate, mild coffee, torf, dark grains, bread, herbs and malt. Easy and smooth to drink - nice beer.

Bottle. Dark brown. Aroma cocoa/coffee and a little hops. Body is medium light. Flavors roasted malts, chocolate, nuts. Light hop finish. Decent flavors but I thought a little too light.

On tap at Barley Brothers. Lighter aromas of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Flavour is the same, some nutty notes as well. Good stout.

Poured from bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma: chocolate, dark fruit. In taste also ash. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Balance towards bitterness. Some bitterness from roasted malts, hops bitterness in finish.

Very dark brown with nice beige head. Lots of raisins, pudding, rum, spices, sour fruits. Medium bodied with slight thin feel and sour-dry finish. Pretty good

Aroma of roasted malts, mocha, some chocolate, some coffee. Flavour is similar, roasty, sweet chocolate. Finishes a bit dry. Nice and tasty, but somehow a little lighter than I expected.

Saeglopur (157) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - APR 10, 2014
Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Pitch black body, with a medium, creamy, tan head, that dissipates quickly. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, hazelnut, dark fruits. Tastes of coffe, dark chocolate, dark fruits, some smoky wood. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a lively carbonation and it finishes smooth, roasty, bitter, wooden. Very good, easy to drink, with nice distinct chocolate notes, but overall maybe a bit too "shy" in smell and taste.

Dark black body with light brown head. Roasted malt aroma, some coffee. Taste is malty sweet, light bitterness that suits it. Creamy texture. Nice stout.
