4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This quite probably the best Oatmeal Stout in america, and a contender for best over all. Pleasant mix of fresh oats and roasted chocolate combine for a very pleasing smell. A decent head with excellent lacing in a 16oz pint glass.
The taste is thick and savory, nutty sweetness blends in well to form an almost perfect combination, there is a hop presence but its mild enough the bitterness doesn’t interfere.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from a Systembolaget. Pours reddish black with a small head. Aroma has some roasted bread, a bit of malt sweetness - together with coffee and chocolate. There is also something from my childhood - sweet "cow candy" or "lehmakomm". Taste is roast, smoky - but relatively weak and thin. I wonder if it could be the fact that best before date on the can has been "extended" with a small sticker? It is a good beer still - going down smooth, some tannins attacking the tongue, sweet-dry and relatively short aftertaste. Would like to try this one in prime condition but understandably its not easy to do half a world away.

A: dark brown with copper hues. Not much foam. No lace.
S: lots of roasted oats and nut toned soil. If you want to have oatmeal stout with lots of oatmeal, look no further.
T: oatmeal and burnt toast with slightly sweet coffee. Nice flavor.
M: full with hi carb. A negligible finish.
O: above average for an oatmeal. Nice beer.
Serving type: on-tap

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black as night with a brown head that lasted and left nice lacing.
Aroma is primarily coffee with a touch of chocolate. Flavor is more of an American stout IMO, with heavier amounts of dark roasty, burnt flavors, but there’s a good amount of oatmeal in there too, making for a very delicious beer that I will surely buy again!
Body is pretty thick and chewy, with a roasty bitter finish.
Definitely a well made oatmeal stout. I will look for this one again, and more from Anderson valley.

Pitch Black colour with a brownish head. Nice roasted aroma with some espresso and mocha notes with a bit of chocolate and sports a bit of a light floral quality. On the palate it is rich, creamy and has some of chocolate flavours and a nice round finish. Really easy drinking.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from Systemet.
Almost tar black with a nice brownish head. Firmly malty aroma with a lot of caramell. A bit to carbonared with a prickly palate. Surprisingly thin and flat taste.
