Poured from a can into a tulip glass. I like the fact it was in a can.. Kind of unique for a stout. Beige/white head, quickly disappearing, super thick and dark body; No chance of transparency. Not much on the aroma side of things. Great taste, not overpowering, but dark malts, that nice "oatmeal" thickness to it. Slightly dark chocolate taste as well. Everything is blended fairly well & not overpowered in one department over another. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Whole Foods Glen Mills. Blackish pour tan head but only some, lace was prevalent not so much now, aroma is lots of roast, barley, earth, malt, coffee. Flavor is a shadow of the smell. Love the roasted barley and coffee. Smooth.

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, oat, quite intense. Taste is chocolate, oat, some green peppers, leather, nutty, light and refreshing. A bit too light after this intense aroma. Fine-bubbled carbonation. Sweetish, but not really sweet and a little bit too watery. Quite light actually. Good.

Fairly aggressive pour with a 3-finger light brown head... very nice lacing.. Brew is very very dark dark brown.. the only light shows up at the tail end of the glass. Very smooth aroma.. black malts with a touch of chocolate and some yeasty fruits on the tail end. Drinkablity is very high.. burnt grains and light dark chocolate are offset by a pretty astounding palate.. good bitterness with a middle of the road maltiness.. Medium body with creamy palate.. the carbonation pushes the flavor through.. dry cocoa finish. Very tasty and a spot-on body.. what I want in an American Oatmeal Stout.

BOTTLE 12 OZ. Opaque black with ruby highlights, dark beige head. Big sweet chocolate liqueur aroma, rum-infused candies. It’s all desert-like, not much roast/coffee notes. The taste is similar, but less rich, possibly due to carbonic acid and thinnish mouthfeel. Again, it’s on the sweeter desert-like side, not much roasted barley here.

Pour is a deep black, still and frothy head that slowly degrades. Leaves no lacing. Poured it out of a 22 ounce bottle. Smell is bitter oats, raw cookie dough, leather and wood. Taste is close to that - lots of bitter stout taste to this one. Tastes like a bitter oatmeal cookie

Can. Dark brown pour. Big tan head. Aroma of mineral water and a little mocha. Flavor is roasted malts with a slightly bitter finish. Body is thin and level of carbonation is low.

Pours seriously deep brown and a touch cloudy with creamy head which dissipates quite quickly. Soft mouth feel and a distinctive oatiness to the flavour. Chocolate malt soon takes over and lingers through to the sweet finish. Very subtle hints of coffee and charcoal but little bitterness to balance off the mostly sweet presentation

12fl. oz. bottle from Club de Cervezas. Pours a beautiful dark brown color with crimson hues. Head is creamy, medium, tan and long lasting, reducing into a solid lacing. Highly aromatic nose of dark sweet malts more toasted than roasted. Notes of rye bread, toasted grains, caramel, wet earth, dark tea leaves, raisins and dates. Really nice and hits a soft spot. Taste is semi sweet with some back-roasted sensation. Rich oatmeal flavors with hints of burnt sugars, caramel, raisins and dates. Delicious. Light body for a Stout. Highly drinkable with some alcoholic kick. Medium carbonation. Incredible drinkability. Overall a classy Stout on par with Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout and very similar to that one.
