COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With its deep, dark brown-black color, thick, full-bodied, velvety-smooth mouth feel, mocha character, and, strong yet subtle hop bite, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout is one of the thickest, richest, and most complex stouts on the market today.

Pours wonderfully dark, with a very nice creamy head. Very nutty, and a nice cream like palate, almost milky. The oats really come out in the finish. Probably my favorite by this brewer, thus far.

Very toasty aroma with a slight sweet note. Black with tan head. Medium to full bodied, huge roasted flavor, very very smooth palate. Little bitterness but not sweet. Very nice, hearty and easy to drink at the same time.

Can from a Systembolaget in Stockholm. BB 08.2015. Chestnut brown, head big with good retention and lacing. Nice roasty and chocolaty malt aroma, kind of weak though, with a bit of hops... hintingly. Also black bread... Tastes nice and full, some bitterness even, very much roast... Soft mouthfeel, very thin and low key bubbling. Kind of boring and bland.

Every once in a while you find a beer to fill the last spot in a "craft your own" sixer. This time it was Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. Yeah, it was pretty as stouts go, and it was "tasty and delicious" too. I don’t think you can go wrong here!

Solid well balanced stout. Smooth but expected more from the palate. Would say this was thick or rich as stated in description. With that said the flavor is good and helps make this easy drinking. Balanced but not very complex.

Beer tasting with Marius at Café de la Gare. Dark brown, light brown lasting foam head. Light coffee aroma. Bit dissapointed in taste (but then we had very strong beer just before), too much Barney there - too flat(e). Light bitter coffee. (Den Haag 201503)

Nice stout with a two finger head, rich, cacao coffee like flavor, dark, roasted malts, some soya hints....no detectable bitterness, smooth, very enjoyable.

Bottle at home while in Jacksonville. Pours a dark coke colour with a thin head. Lightish coffee choc aroma. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Sweet toffee with a little grass, milk choc, lemon and light coffee... Not particularly exciting, but well balanced and tasty.

Bottle 355ml. Deep black with a creamy beige top that fades somewhat. The aroma has bitterness as expected with stout, but I also recognize a faint soft hint which reminds me of milk. The taste is pleasantly bitter, typical stout. But again a soft mild aftertaste is present, this time it’s more like malts.

Milk chocolate aromas, chocolate pudding, slight dried cherry. Brown-black, off-white head is mostly fading. Somewhat sweet, chocolatey, raisiny. Medium-full bodied, smooth, creamy.
