Beautiful brown thick huge head. The beer color is black black blackity black-black! Huge complex aroma of coffee, a little chocolate, and some roasted nut. Full flavor...very smooth. It looked so cool as I poured it...kinda like syrup. Nice carbonation. The feel was a little chalky...even with a little bit of chalk taste. Somehow it worked for this beer. I love my oatmeal stouts, and this one is very fair. Of course nothing beats a Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout.

Appearence was impressive. Black with nice tan head. Tastes of roasted malt and chocolate with a nice mouthfeel and subtle sweetness. A good oatmeal stout.

Nearly black in color, but it was a super dark brown. There were the smallest hints of ruby around the edges. About an inch of tan head rested atop the body. Milk chocolate, roasty coffee, little bits of oatmeal, and maybe some raisins. A lovely flavor to this one. Roasted coffee, molasses, chocolate covered oats. Smooth mouthfeel. Well done all around.

A deep dark brown color with a grey foam on top, this oatmeal stout by Anderson Valley is a good one. Smelling of toffee, coffee, chocolate, and malts, It taste sweeet with a malty, coffee taste with a hint of toffee. A good beer by AV.

Poured jet black with a large dark tan head which left nice lacing on the glass. Sweet coffee, cocoa taste and a full mouthfeel.

Oh, this is a good stout. Very thick with a nice mouthfeel. I taste lots of licorice in it. Not too sweet, but just right. An excellent stout.

I LOVED this oatmeat stout. Wonderful full taste with a bit of bitterness at the end. This blew me away on tap with its complexity -- something often lacking in oatmeal stouts. Nice to see such a classy beer...

Pretty damn good stout. Dark DARK stout, very chocolaty. Coffee is also present in this stuff.
