Rating #1038 - March 27, 2014 - Anderson Valley Tap Takeover @RevolutionYEG - Swear I’ve had this before but rating not entered. I’m going to rate or rerate the whole lot of AVBC. Clear amber/toffee coloured pour with a bubbly white head. Aroma has a hint of malty sweetness, and a strong citrus/floral hoppy aroma. Medium carbonation. Bubbly, dry mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Light bitterness in the finish, quite smooth. Hoppy punch and a marbley-malty sweet note. Delicious.

From a can. Pours almost clear bright copper with a bubbly, frothy off white head and some lacing. Tastes like cookie malt, nutty, sweet roasted grains, light bitter hops. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like toffee, floral hops, nutty, sweet roasted malt.

Can. Pours clear amber/copper with frothy off-white head. Aroma is caramel and cookie malts, mixed berries, light floral notes, and light toast. Flavor is sweet, malty base with light floral hops, light berry esters, and faint caramel; semisweet finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

great american amber ale! deeply fruity w/ caramel malt and light bitterness and just the right amount of effervescence. aroma and flavor of some dark red fruits. some berry and mango/tangerine. caramel and pale malts give the backbone. perfectly sessionable. i think it’s a world-class representation of the style!
