Short light brown head. Clear light brown color. Small malty aroma with a caramell taste. No sweetness and some bitterness to give a big drinkabillity.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2015 From a 12 oz. can. Nose of caramel with some floral hops. Flavors of toffee, caramel, mild vanilla and brown sugar on a bready malt base. Flower and citrus hops blend in smoothly. Mild, yet tasty with just the right amount of bitterness. Not overpowering. A first class amber ale.

Brown color, off white head. Caramel and malt dominant. Nuts, oak, spice, barley also in the aroma. Taste is the same. Smooth and sweet. High on malt, a but roasted and hoppy. Decent amber, just too much flavor for the body.

Pretty decent beer. Good looking and the overall mix was strong. Well balanced. Thought the appearance sets it apart from others.

"One of my favorite ambers. This was has a great fresh aroma, with mostly malt up front, then a nice hoppy finish. well balanced and refreshing. Nothing too showy, but presses the right buttons."

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium, split with Andrew. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of fudge and toffee. Flavour of fig roll, mushy red apple and caramel. Medium body with a powdery texture. Soft fizz. Pretty good, but nothing particularly memorable or moreish.

Price: $1.67 ($9.99 for a mix 6-pack)

Poured a dark caramel, auburn, semi-clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki, light tan, frothy head. A few streams of bubbles coming up from the bottom, but nothing crazy. Decent amount of uneven spots of lacing along the sides of the glass. Average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.88)
Smelled menthol, cough drops, honey, caramel, lemon zest, light grassy notes and slight roasty malts. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted better than the nose. Got rich caramel, honey, roasty malts, menthol, menthol cough drops, lemon and light nuts. (Taste - 3.88)
Light-to-medium body. Thin-to-oily texture. Soft carbonation. Long, sweet finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was overall a pretty good amber. I canít believe itís taken me this long to try it or even rate it, but not bad for the style. (Overall - 3.88)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is a really clean, straightforward amber ale from Anderson Valley. Pours copper amber with a thick, creamy, white head that leaves lacing. Aroma is malt, caramel, slight citrus and herbs. Taste is well balanced, malt forward and fruity with a medium hop bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, well balanced finish. Classic English style ale, well done!
