3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a fairly transparent amber with off-white head that dissipates into sticky lacing. Smells of caramel malt and mild hops. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. A decent example of the style.

Had a pint of this on tap. Solid for the style, nice hops, not too malty. Almost more of a pale ale blind.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
July 2010. Amber color. Caramel, malt, earthy aromas. Light sweetness from the caramel and fruit. Hops on the finish make this one very nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours coppery amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is syrpy malts with a mild hoppy background. Taste is similar with sweet malts verging on chocolate and, again, a mild hop background. Overall, it’s a decent easy red.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours almost clear ruby/copper with thinnish, but durable head. Lots of malty aroma - caramel, bread, with floral and fruity hops. Similar profiles come through in the taste - notable sweetness for the style but it avoids being cloying. Would like a little more hop presence to pull it along, but quite nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured into a shaker. Dark amber almost managing color with a thick tan head. Aroma is caramel malt and molasses. Flavor starts with a good dose of sweet malty notes with a hint of smokiness, and finishes with earthy hop notes. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky mouthfeel. A very solid amber.
