I am not sure about this beer. To me the nose was very yeasty. Almost to point of a bad homebrewed beer. The beer upon taste was dominated by this taste. I have to wonder if the batch I purchased was not tainted in some way.

Can. Mostly clear amber copper with a nice foamy head. Strange aroma, smells a little like sweat and come citrus. Tastes pretty good though, nicely bitter, lots of caramel and a little grassy hops. Pretty good for this style.

Growler. No memorable aroma but a nice appearance with generous lacing. Terrific hoppy taste with notes of caramel. Nice beer that went well with tuscan pork chops.

Pours a nice dark golden colour with medium head that stays around. Grassy aroma with some hints of caramel and citrus. Taste is slightly sweet but mainly quite dry. Some hints of hops but the aftertaste is mainly some alcohol and even some chocolate and caramel notes.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma has a bit of wood age or perhaps grassy character with a bit of sweetness. The appearance is a murky orange brown that poured with a thick frothy head that died into a nice white ring. The taste is an interesting bitter that has a hop character without hop taste. The palate also has this bitter element, with a bit too much bitter not balanced by any strong flavor.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hazy amber color, small head.
Earthy hops nose, with some juicy malt.
Sweetish flavor of malt, low-med bitterness, nuts and some minor off flavors.
Light-med body, short finish, so so.
