A medium-bodied pale ale with a beautiful copper color, a robust head, and the rich flavor of caramel malt.

Ottima amber ale dalla buona beverinità e dal corpo pieno. Molto profumata, floreale con note mielose. ---Rated BY Italianbeer85

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a beer can glass on 06.12.14. A: See through red/amber. Thin head that quickly recedes into a ring. S: Sweet malt. Brown sugar and caramel. T: Caramel, brown sugar, and a bready sweetness dominate. Flower and citrus are subtle. M: Creamy. Somewhat watery. O: With the flower and citrus flavors, this one is a bit lighter and easier to drink than other ambers.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2015 bread, grass, soy sauce, red, brown, hazy, medium bitternes, medium sweetness, creamy, oily, medium body, lively carbonation, long finish, ...nice beer, but in my opinion the finish is long but a litlle flat...maybe more malt feeling is needed.

Anderson valley does some great beer. For me this isnít one. No hops. A little thin. Not bad, but they can do better.

Very pleasant, fresh, sweet, fruity and malty aroma. Nice, silky mouth-feel - carbonation is very smooth. Fruity maltyness also in taste, accompanied with nice bitterness in aftertaste. Easy to drink, quite simple (and at the same time - quite complex) - very tasty and nice beer .

Pours clear medium amber with a fat finger of off-white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, light spotty lacing. (4/5) Nose is caramel malt, spruce needles, floral and herbal hops. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Medium body, low sustained carbonation, off-dry mildly bitter finish. (3/5) One of the better amber ales Iíve tried - probably because it smells fairly highly-hopped. Seems like itís predominantly dry-hopping, though, since it dominates the nose but is pretty mild on the tongue. Not overly challenging, but mild and pleasant without being boring. (14/20)

33cl bottle. Pours clear dark amber with white head. Aromas of malt, pine and toast. Taste is medium bitter, some sweet, greasy malts. Aftertaste is dry, somewhat bitter and dry. Great balance but maybe a bit sweet ale.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2014 Bottle. Pours a perfect mahogany with nice frothy and long-lasting head. An interesting but very subtle aroma of caramel, cherry, coniferous forest. Medium body, quite smooth, bit fizzy on the tongue. Taste builds up with some light bittereness on the back back, butter-kind of feel in the middle and malty sweetenes up front. Well balanced and quite rich as for Amber Ale. Leaves some soft yeasty dryness and floral hoppy feel in the aftertaste. Very drinkable and interesting Amber Ale.

Big caramel malt profile, but there is a nicely warming orange citrus in the finish.
