A medium-bodied pale ale with a beautiful copper color, a robust head, and the rich flavor of caramel malt.

Transfer from BA review on 9-15-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance Pours a very lightly hazy amber color with a light brown tint. The head is big and billowy and has fantastic retention. Over time it very slowly recedes and the large bubbles of the head pop. In the end the receding head leaves a nice level of lacing. Smell The aroma is heaviest of a caramel sweetness. Mixed with this is a roasted malt aroma, some light molasses notes as well as a faint herbal smell. Taste The taste starts out more roasted malt and biscuit in nature with some tastes of a sweet caramel. A hop flavor of an earthy and herbal nature then come to the tongue more toward the middle of the taste. These flavors intensify while most of the caramel dissipates. Overall a roasty, buttery and biscuit flavor mixed with a moderate herbal hop flavor are left on the tongue. Very ESB like in my opinion maybe with just a bit sweeter and more roast then most ESBs. Mouthfeel The mouthfeel was above average in body as it had a more creamy and smooth then most. The carbonation level was rather low. The low carbonation mixed with the creaminess gave it more of a cask like taste (even out of the bottle) and actually also gave it more the ESB feel as the taste also gave. Overall Very nice. It starts sweeter and gets more hoppy and bitter as the taste advances. Quit easy drinking and delicious.

Kita (1338) - Koper, SLOVENIA - AUG 4, 2014
Bottle, 0.355l. Hazy amber brown color with large creamy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dandelion syrup, sherry and light medicinal notes. Taste starts with mild sweet but rich caramel malt, follows by fruity and grassy acidity, crisp mouthfeel and moderate resinous hoppy finish. Medium body, thick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Surprisingly bold brew with such average ABV...

Pint pour at Clark Street Ale House. Amber/copper color and a steady, white frothy head. Caramel and malt sweetness right from the start. Some elements of fruit present. Other people in the group claim dried apricot. End has a pleasant sweet quality. I think this could be improved with a little more complexity. Overall, still quite enjoyable.

355ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (3.40):
Lots of malts & sweetness on the nose with caramel too but not much hops, some earthy ones appear though. Well balanced with some floral notes with a few dark fruits. Sweet, fruity & good strength.
Deep copper amber with a 3cm, foamy white head that looks slightly creamy. with great retention & zero movement until you actually take a drink.
Sweet malts & caramel flavours that match the nose well. There is some background fruits coming through with some light, floral hops featuring as well but again its the malts that lead the way.
Smooth & fairly light bodied, almost watery in parts but there was a pleasant sweetness throughout & a clean, slightly dry finish that has a lingering bitterness to it.

This one started very well with the smell being a particular highlight but sadly things started to fade slightly after that with the taste seeming a little watery, more so that I would have liked. Not one Id pick up again Im afraid.
