pours a burnt darker orange with a huge fluffy head from a can. This beer is sweet, malty and bitter grainy, there is a light earthyness and hints of some sour fruits

Boont Amber Ale has a very thick, creamy, cream-colored head and a somewhat hazy, bubbly, amber appearance, with little brown particles floating about and some good lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, brown bread crust, and the flavor is of that, with an underlying caramel and a mellow, floral hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Boont Amber Ale finishes mostly dry, refreshing, and easy drinking. This one is most excellent. It’s all positive with no negative. RJT

Pours amber (of course) with a foamy head. Aroma is not very strong, some fruity notes. Good flavor: caramel, sweet fruits, some breadiness, and a nice touch of hops. Really smooth and light, very enjoyable.

Pint on tap. Nice amber color, translucent. Nice thick stable head, decent lacing. Pretty light aroma, bready with a little hop finish. I like this beer, I think I’d prefer a bit more complexity, but it’s fine for the style, and the balance is good and simple. Doesn’t push the envelope, but it tastes pretty good and isn’t metallic or too hoppy.

Rich aroma with hints of pineapple and a string caramel note. Flavour adds a nice toasted caramel note an a solid balancing bitterness. There is a slight pleasant toasty, nutty note in the end of the flavour. Over all a very good beer

12 oz bottle, Pours a slightly hazy copper color with s medium fluffy white head that leaves good lacing. Smells I’d biscuit, dough, sweet malt and caramel. Tastes if all the same things that are in the, smell. Mouthfeel is between medium and light with good carbonation. I think this is one of the better amber ales on the market. I like the hop presence it brings. Not many ambers catch my attention but this is one of them.

Had this absolutely scores of times over the years, and this brewer used to be something of a go-to in my early craft days. Still grab one of them off the shelf at the Total Wine every now and again for nostalgic purposes. This amber is certainly reasonably hopped compared to the majority of ’em out there, but it’s certainly to style in that it’s malty, caramelly, and even rich in places. Well done to style, even if I don’t really care for the style much anymore.

Can at The Flying Elk, April 2013. A bit hazy amber with a large, fluffy head. Aroma and taste of caramel, dried fruit, malt and light hops. Medium body and carbonation. Sweet but an ok one.
