Tap (White Horse, RBESG2011 Friday)
Orange. Small head. Slightly yeasty hop aroma. A bit fruity and slightly stodgy in the mouth. Nut perhaps, I think walnut, but Anna’s veering more towards hazelnut. Hops in the finish are long and tasty. Nicely well attenuated for an Amber, normally one of the worst styles for sugariness.

hopscotch (9160) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 13, 2003
Pours a clear, copper color with a small, creamy, lightly-tanned head. Everlasting with thick lacing. The aroma is soapy, yeasty and holds notes of sweet malt, apricot, earth and caramel. The flavor consists of caramel and dates up front. Moderately bitter with a touch of molasses and honey on the backside. Just enough hops for balance. Medium-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Medium-length, lightly bitter, astringent, earthy finish. Just short of world class in my book!
