JDBaker11058 (1446) - Maryland, USA - APR 15, 2015
Appearance: clear dark amber orange, with a short, fizzy tan-orange head. Aroma: caramel, vanilla, toasted brown bread, honey butter, a note of strawberry. Taste: sweet, with dulce de leche, light fruit, hint of toasted nuts, a hint of citrus and piney hops. Finish: short, sweet, and pretty clean. Notes: Sweetness was almost like a cream ale, with some light fruity notes. Good palate. Split a 12 oz can with Zoltan, gone before we knew it. Another single from the huge beer run at Total Wine & More in Fairfax, Virginia.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear ruby/caramel with a one and a half finger, off white head. Aroma has great notes of caramel, hints of dark fruits and roasted malts, toffee, and toasted bread. Taste is balanced. Slight caramel and bread to start then moving to some slightly darker malts, toffee, and a short ending. Medium body and carbonation. Clean and almost refreshing in the mouth with a bone dry finish. Overall pretty good. Nice caramel and toffee flavours with a touch of darker, roasted malts.

Erscheinung ähnelt dunklem Kupfer bzw. Bernstein. Leicht bräunliche-cremige Schaumbildung. Intensives angenehmes Hopfenaroma. Süßes Caramell ist die dominierende Geschmackskomponente. Sehr süß auch im Nachgeschmack

Pours a muddy brown with burnt brown sugar aromas on the nose. Surprisingly bitter for an amber but delightfully so.. I was pleasantly surprised.
