3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Blake (396) - Orange, USA - AUG 20, 2002
Quick Look: Starts off strong and hoppy, finished with a malty flavor that is just right. A very nice Amber Ale. In Depth: A very dark amber ale with a light, tan head when served. The aroma isn’t too strong - a hoppy waft originates with a slightly carmelized flavor in the first sip. This Amber Ale seemingly starts off too strong, but evens out and becomes easily drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DavoleBomb (965) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2012
Poured into a pint glass.
4.0 A: Lightly hazed orange amber color. Two fingers of dense frothy, off-white head. Retention is good and a short ring of lacing is left.
4.0 S: Doughy malt base. Moderate caramel malt component. Cinnamon-like spiciness, almost like a winter warmer. Fairly strong molasses presence with light floral hops.
4.0 T: Mostly follows the nose. Doughy with some breadiness from the yeast. More caramel than in the nose and it tastes great. Again a touch of molasses and some toastiness. Light winter spice and earthy hoppiness.
4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Good creaminess in this and quite smooth.
4.5 D: Solid beer throughout. Definitely worth an occasional purchase.

Average brown ale. Came in a can! Pours a dark amber with a light head. Aroma is very malty. There is enough hops to give it a crisp finish and make it a fairly good drinker.
