Beautiful rich amber, robust head. Malty, citrusy, flowery aroma. Flavor is rich and creamy, with some citrus, hazelnuts and maple syrup. Creamy, substantial finish. Very nice.
Re-rate: Still a decent go-to beer, but it seems kind of flat overall anymore.

Nov 16, 2008 12 ounce bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a one finger head. Straightforward malt aroma with some nutty notes. Nutty and malty taste with some caramel notes. Medium bodied.

Oct 28, 2008 Nice bronze pour with a solid hop presence and an above average flavor profile for an Amber. Nice caramel backdrop in the mouth, pretty solid all in all.

Oct 20, 2008 Draft pint. Dark amber with a quickly dissipating white/tan head. Aroma is caramel, malt and light hops. Flavor is biscuit, malt and caramel with a very, very light citrus hop finish.

Oct 19, 2008 This was a lot hoppier than expected, and for the better. I expected something a little more on the malt side, but this one comes off almost as a pale ale. One could tell that high-quality ingredients were used. Overall good.
