A medium-bodied pale ale with a beautiful copper color, a robust head, and the rich flavor of caramel malt.

Got this in cans (all the local store had) and upon opening the can there was a thick foam rising fast so my first taste was sucking down the suds before they found thier way to the floor. Suds wasn’t bad so was looking foward to actually having some of the beer. Pouted up into glass a dark amber brew with thin head that lays down to lace quickly. Aroma is malty sweet with some wood notes to it. Taste is caramel malts and some hop bitterness. Fairly well balanced but thick, like did they stop the ferment too soon. For this thick of a brew I would think it would have a higher ABV. Decent brew overall and I did drink down the whole 6 pack with no problems but plan to only purchase this agian if it is on sale.

Soft cereal with some nuts smell (6/10), amber looks with low spoam (4/5), medium sweet taste without a strong body (6/10), thin texture with average carbonation (3/5), overall a meh beer, not bad, but i will forget about it in two weeks.

One of the better ambers I've had. Very nice color and aroma. Starts a little unimpressive, but finishes extremely well.

Ottima amber ale dalla buona beverinità e dal corpo pieno. Molto profumata, floreale con note mielose. ---Rated BY Italianbeer85

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a beer can glass on 06.12.14. A: See through red/amber. Thin head that quickly recedes into a ring. S: Sweet malt. Brown sugar and caramel. T: Caramel, brown sugar, and a bready sweetness dominate. Flower and citrus are subtle. M: Creamy. Somewhat watery. O: With the flower and citrus flavors, this one is a bit lighter and easier to drink than other ambers.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2015 bread, grass, soy sauce, red, brown, hazy, medium bitternes, medium sweetness, creamy, oily, medium body, lively carbonation, long finish, ...nice beer, but in my opinion the finish is long but a litlle flat...maybe more malt feeling is needed.

Anderson valley does some great beer. For me this isn’t one. No hops. A little thin. Not bad, but they can do better.

Very pleasant, fresh, sweet, fruity and malty aroma. Nice, silky mouth-feel - carbonation is very smooth. Fruity maltyness also in taste, accompanied with nice bitterness in aftertaste. Easy to drink, quite simple (and at the same time - quite complex) - very tasty and nice beer .

Pours clear medium amber with a fat finger of off-white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, light spotty lacing. (4/5) Nose is caramel malt, spruce needles, floral and herbal hops. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Medium body, low sustained carbonation, off-dry mildly bitter finish. (3/5) One of the better amber ales I’ve tried - probably because it smells fairly highly-hopped. Seems like it’s predominantly dry-hopping, though, since it dominates the nose but is pretty mild on the tongue. Not overly challenging, but mild and pleasant without being boring. (14/20)
