Sampler at the tasting room. Mahagony color. Aroma is mostly sour grape. Flavor starts with nice malty amber/red caramel notes and transitions into a nice sourness with some buttering hops on the finish. I found this to be a very pleasant combination.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 DYCSoccer17 (3012) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 18, 2012
16 ounce sample on tap at mojos in Woodland. The aroma on this is lightly tart, and mostly dominated by some pine character. Light fruitiness, too. Fairly transparent ruddy amber body with a medium off white head. Pretty resilient. Starts with a little sweet flavors, before this has some gentle woody character, and a nice soft balanced tart funkiness. This is spot on for the quasi style, and is severely underrated.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ron (1988) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 8, 2012
On tap at Tap and Mallet. Why did I pick this one today? Of all the good beers they had there. Cause I wanted something different. Next time I’ll go with something that tastes good. Sour aroma and flavor. A jumble of dried fruits. No head, no lacing
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PhillyCraft (1971) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2012
On tap at Capones, pours a hazy amber color, thick medium creamy head, and awesome streaks of lacing. Aromas of red and white wine, some apple brandy, wet wood, basement funky yeast, fruity hops and cheese notes from the nelson. Taste is woody and sour with some bourbon and rich brandy in the finish. Other notes of pinot noir, dark fruit, sour grapes, and apple. Interesting beer, hard to drink alot of it but better then previous ratings.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Aquilo (488) - Berkeley, California, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Cloudy brown with a small head. Aroma is cinnamon and sour fruit. A bit funky. Flavor is bitter sweet. The finish is astringent and a bit off-putting at first, but then it opens up and you can taste more of the fruit.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 emacgee (3445) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - FEB 5, 2012
Slightly clouded copper red pour with one finger of off white head. Nose is bad, metallic and slick. Dms and lots of vegetal notes. Awful flavor. Totally devoid of body. Acetic and vinegary with buttered popcorn all over the finish.

Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso - Dupont Circle. Poured a dark ruby color. Aroma was a touch of sour, almost wine like, with a touch of caramel. Well... the aroma was nice enough. The flavor was, eh, "interesting" - Funky. Strange. Coffee, red wine, woody. But the curdled milk...
