COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complex beer brewed with redwod tips and New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hop - 35% was soured in stainless - of the remaining beer 60% was aged in red and white wine barrels and 40% split between Brandy and Bourbon Barrels for aging. All of these beers were blended with a small amount of our Grand Cru ( Brother Davids’s Belgian ales aged in wine barrels)

On tap at Tap and Mallet. Why did I pick this one today? Of all the good beers they had there. Cause I wanted something different. Next time I’ll go with something that tastes good. Sour aroma and flavor. A jumble of dried fruits. No head, no lacing

PhillyCraft (597) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2012
On tap at Capones, pours a hazy amber color, thick medium creamy head, and awesome streaks of lacing. Aromas of red and white wine, some apple brandy, wet wood, basement funky yeast, fruity hops and cheese notes from the nelson. Taste is woody and sour with some bourbon and rich brandy in the finish. Other notes of pinot noir, dark fruit, sour grapes, and apple. Interesting beer, hard to drink alot of it but better then previous ratings.

Cloudy brown with a small head. Aroma is cinnamon and sour fruit. A bit funky. Flavor is bitter sweet. The finish is astringent and a bit off-putting at first, but then it opens up and you can taste more of the fruit.

Slightly clouded copper red pour with one finger of off white head. Nose is bad, metallic and slick. Dms and lots of vegetal notes. Awful flavor. Totally devoid of body. Acetic and vinegary with buttered popcorn all over the finish.

Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso - Dupont Circle. Poured a dark ruby color. Aroma was a touch of sour, almost wine like, with a touch of caramel. Well... the aroma was nice enough. The flavor was, eh, "interesting" - Funky. Strange. Coffee, red wine, woody. But the curdled milk...

(draft @ Tap and Mallet - Rochester, NY) Dark and murky ruby red pour with a thick and puffy tan head. Slightly tart but rather sweet aroma with a good amount of wood and wine hints. A bit sweeter and with a lot more fruit notes than I was expecting from a bruin, but still rather tasty. Mild tart and sour notes with a lot of dark fruits, wine and oak hints at the end. Smooth and sweet finish.
