3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light amber, medium head, mild C-hops in the nose with a hint of malt. Body is hoppier with fair fruitiness and some bitterness; weak finish with just a hint of fruit and bitterness. A little watery.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice color and head for a bitter start this one. Nice, lightly hoppy aroma, too. Flavor is pretty good, though lacking a little something, in my opinion. Good, but not a great bitter.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice hazy golden/orange color with a full, thick white head. The aroma was full of floral bitterness and a little hint of alcohol. The flavor was strong, and assertive...floral, citrus, and malty sweetness. Very creamy feel with a crisp finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy caramel/gold color with a rather persistent white head. The aroma is seemed quite malty to me, at least compared to other ESB's I've had. The flavor is pretty good. A nice, creamy mouthfeel with a good balance of malt to hops. The aroma just sort of turns me off.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy, straw-colored body. Thin white head. Some lacing.
Smells sweet, hoppy and yeasty.
Overly bitter without the malt backbone to balance things out. Tastes like an IPA to me.
Smooth until the extreme hop bite at the end.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2005 Good amber color, lasting beige head that leaves generous lace. Clouded by thousands of eternally suspended particles. Big citric, spicy aromas. Nutty malt flavor, cleanly bittered. Overheard the comment "tastes like iced tea" and I can’t disagree. Leafy hoppiness does lend that sort of steeped bitterness.

great lace. Faint in aroma, but detectable mt Hood and cascade hops. Piney and floral, definitely well hopped. Slick, bitter finish. GREAT balance though and packs quite a punch!

Bottle. Dark gold in color with a foamy tan head. A strong aroma with a clear alcohol presence to join a lot of hops. Not as malty as I would have thought. Some vinous and wood qualities.

Aroma of malt smacks one in the face after a tap pour of this. Hints of citrusy hops found upon emerging one’s nose in the beer, but other than that...malt is what you get here. A pour of a mildly cloudy orange color (bad lighting) with a minimal but creamy head. The taste is a nice 180 with the heavy malt yeilding way to an insane bitterness. A good dry finish with emphasis on the florals and the re-occuring malt trend. Fairly average overall...a nice finish, but nothing to get into a rumble over.
