Bottled (as Boont ESB). Orange golden colour with longlasting white head. Aroma is hops, caramel and some kind of yeastyishness. Flavour is fruity and flowery hops mainly. The finish gets dominated by flowery hops and yeast. Wellbalanced, but at the same time a quite thin brew. Long grassy and yeasty aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a long lasting, foamy, white head. Aroma is of spicy hops, bready malt and ripe fruit. Medium, crisp body. Piney, spicy hops up front, followed by bready malt, caramel and hints of ripe fruit. Finish is long and bitter. Nice, flavorful brew.

This is delicious, especially for style. Pours gold orange with dense white head. The smell is mostly all sweet pale malt. The taste starts basic worth a semi sweet half with a nice toasted malt and a course grainy half that fades to a bittering floral bouquet half. There is a bit of fruity flavors in it, just enough to intrigue but they are definitely excluded for the hops to come to the front. The finish is dry and the hops and grain work well together to make the bitterness stout, there is a slight medicinal taste which i normally don’t like but it is not distracting. Even with that it is light hearted on carbonation and drinks easy. I always heard guid things about Anderson Valley but this is why.

12 oz. bottle from Julio’s Liquors. Served in an English pint. Transparent golden color with a light amber type hue. Fast diminishing white head, light retention. Nose of bread and floral hops. Taste is no surprise; toasted malty sweetness and a mild hoppy bitterness. Overall I don’t drink many ESB’s. I got this just as a changeup of styles. Not bad but it didn’t make me want to drink more or try more examples of the style. I guess if you drink ESB’s you may enjoy this.

Shared 355ml bottle at Bistro Trägårn, Kiruna. A few patches at the surface of a hazy, apricot coloured body. Grainy malts and spiced fruity nose. Pumpkin, dried fruits, earthy malts and a bite of almond in the flavour character. Bittersweet tail. Ok, 27.04.2012.

12 ox bottle pours a hazy golden color with a fair white head and some lacing. Nose is full of grapefruit. Aroma includes citrus hops, nutmeg, almonds, and bread. Taste is quite bitter, with a long but clean dry finish. Medium body and tingly carbonation. Altyhough this is far from my favorite style, I’m glad to have tried it.

From bottle at Øl og Akevittmessen, Stavanger. Pours unclear golden with a small white head. Aroma is hoppy, orange and mandarin juice. Taste is good hoppy flowing over a good malty body, a good esb.

Pours a cloudy amber color with a white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus and caramel malt. Taste is as expected bitter that is nicely balanced by the malts. Medium bodied.

I was a little disappointed with this beer in comparison with other Anderson Valley beers. Don’t get me wrong this is still a very good beer, but it is more suitable for being an everyday beer than a special occasion ESB.

Clear orange-yellow with lingering small off-white head. Aroma is a mix of malt and faint lemony hops. Medium body with no carbonation or alcohol, more of a creamy feel. Flavor is predominantly grassy hops with a doughy malt background for balance. Long finsh. Very tasty and drinkable.
