mikey (321), farmington, Utah, USA Oct 13, 2004 It poured a clear orange-gold with a light creamy head. Ringlets and lace fall throughout. More hops than malt in the nose, but both are present. The hops are fruity and citrusy. A very nice balance. There’s pleanty of toasty malt up front and a good balanced hops. Grapefruit and floral bitters are the predominant flavors. This is a full bodied ESB, hoppier than most. This is very drinkable and it’s the best ESB i’ve tried.

Actually, this is quite hoppy and bitter, but retains the esb qualities, with some caramel malt, and fruity notes. Medium body and pretty smooth. Very drinkable. Flavor is very fruity with citrus and an earthy quality. Tastes of anglo-hops with pale malt with a hint of butter and a light toastiness. Plenty of carbonation. I’m really not sure about this one - not enough crystal malt for my ESB expectations. The nose is bland and very English in malt and subtle hop. The flavor is the same with a decent dry finish.
