COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewers of Anderson Valley had to conjure the High Priestess of Fermentation to help them formulate and create this rare hand-crafted elixer. It is luxuriant, smooth, more that a little wild, and at 10% alcohol, it's bound to raise your spirits. Open the Bottle and greet the High Priestess. You are worthy.

Bottled 355ml. -from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Dark golden coloured, small white head, spices and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, fruity and caramel with pleasant spicy and sharp alcohol presence. Spicy and yeasty finish. Alcohol is not so hidden but well balanced. Tasty one.

Powertrip (841) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 25, 2012
Single bottle purchased from Zyn Liqour in Calgary, AB on 05/11/2012. Colour: Caramel brown with orange swirls. Medium head that quickly fades. Nose: Melting pot of young fruit, plum pudding, aged malt, fresh loose leaf paper. Malt dominant. Taste: Medium-light sweet, light bitter, medium-light sour. The alcohol is certainly noticable throughout, and seems to take away from some of the complexity of the recipe. Light entry that doesn’t get going right away. Comes on with some buttered dark grain bread, then some vegemite-like saltiness. Slight sweet malt mid palate then late sticky sourdough. I’ve tasted much better and much worse.

mjs (2997) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 23, 2012
(Bottle, 0.355 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, 20120523) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, orange, honey and malts. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, honey, fruitiness, alcohol, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had honey, sweetness, malts and low bitterness. A decent attempt to brew a tripel and they almost succeeded. The end result was too unbalanced.

sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 22, 2012
(Bottled) Slightly hazy amber with a small head. Mild aroma with honey-sweetish malt. Flavor is sweetish, honey-malty, slightly acidic and earthy, saaz-hoppy with a dry finish. Hides the ABV well. Quite full body, lowish CO2. A well-made tripel, that could as well be brewed by Van Steenberge.

caesar (3747) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 18, 2012
Bottled @ home. Clear amber color, short head. Aroma of slight flowery hops, green apple, alcohol. Lacking a bit yeast character and spices characteristic of a belgian triple. Taste is quite sweet, slight alcohol burn. A bit dominated by the alcohol.

AirForceHops (1112) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 11, 2012
22 oz. bottle. very filtered, transparent dark amber look. no head at all, flat like carbonation. Nose is exactly as advertised and mirrors the taste. I would have to characterize this beer as thoroughly average. There is nothing exemplary about it. It’s not a horrible beer by any means, but it is not significantly different from any other Belgian Triple I have sampled.

Brandman (1067) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 8, 2012
Clear copper body, white head - do not look like a trippel. Aroma of home made wine, raisins, strawberry and alcohol. Flavour has some muesli with fruits, almonds and alcohol, cookie dough. This has nothing to do with trippel and is poor in any category.

MadRobin (166) - Silver Spring, USA - MAY 1, 2012
Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Clear, sparkling, reddish orange with small head that disappears quickly and trivial lacing. Aroma of fruit, Belgian candi sugar, caramel and yeast. Taste is sweet, slightly spicy, fruity, caramel and yeast. Flavors do not blend well. Full body and high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

sulawang (218) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 22, 2012
pours copper orange, almost no head, thin ringed retention, some slow-moving CO2 streams. Mainly malts on the nose. A burst of medium malts up front, honey, chamomile, brown sugar, slightly hoppy and finishes alcoholic. Medium complexity, medium depth, good transitions, good carry, great drinkability. Not super complex but quite smooth for 10% ABV.
